Riding Pretty // The Best Driving Shoes

Written by Monica of Awed by Monica.

Tod's Gommino shoes are perfect for summer.

I live for the nostalgia of long summer drives, down southern highways, in a beautiful classic car. There’s just something about heading out for a drive that makes me feel good. It could be that driving gives me an opportunity to clear my mind. It could be the excitement of knowing I’m driving to my favorite place to shop. Or, it could be that I get to wear my new favorite pair of Tod’s Gommino Driving Shoes.

If you haven’t guessed by now, it’s definitely the shoes. The Gommino is a contemporary Italian style loafer, that is classic and modern at the same time. Tod’s customized this red pair just for me.

I was able to pick everything from the color, to the fabric, and even the details of the laces. I was also able to include my initials, which are ME. #leaveyourmark is the hashtag for this service, and that’s exactly what I did by making these one of a kind. This awesome service is available to all Tod’s clients. So, you can leave your mark too.

I love the versatility that wearing a classic, well-designed loafer creates. I’m wearing them with a blue, black, and white floral dress. But, I could also pair them with a nice pair of slacks and a blouse.

I just had to carry my Tod’s Wave Backpack mini, in white which is right on trend. It finishes this look well, because both the shoes and the bag share the iconic rubber pebble. I’m all about the details.
