THE SHOPS BUCKHEAD ATLANTA BRINGS ART TO LIFE THIS SPRING WITH THIRD ANNUAL “BUCKHEAD LOVES LOCALS” PROGRAM

In collaboration with Savannah College of Art and Design, six up-and-coming artists will create one-of-a-kind art installations and murals

The Shops Buckhead Atlanta is collaborating with Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) artists to bring one-of-a-kind murals and displays to the outdoor lifestyle center during the third annual “Buckhead Loves Locals” program.

Six current and former SCAD students will create art installations around the property this spring. The artists will paint and create their pieces live, giving customers a unique and immersive opportunity to experience the works as they come to life.

“We’re excited to collaborate with SCAD artists again this year for the always popular Buckhead Loves Locals program,” said Anneliese Reid, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta’s marketing manager. “This program gives our customers exclusive and unique access into the musings of some of Atlanta’s most talented artists, who will enhance the entire center with their creations this spring.”

The artists began their live art installations on April 9 and the pieces will remain on display throughout the center through the end of the year.  The Shops Buckhead Atlanta will be hosting “Spring into the Shops”, an unveiling event for these pieces and additional installations throughout property on Saturday, May 5th.  The event will also feature past SCAD artists’ work, live music, specialty spring cocktails and light bites, a customized floral cart, in-store activations, and fashion sculptures in “Spring Bloom”.
